All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT), popularly called All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This entrance examination is conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical and Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the Honourable Supreme Court of India and is governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India,Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.
            All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) is conducted in two stages:
(i) Preliminary Examination and
(ii) Final Examination
The Final Examination is meant only for those candidates who get qualified in the AIPMT preliminary examination. Both tests are objective type.
